Two Weeks, Two Lost Fumbles, and Seattle Is Sticking With Jadarian Price
The rookie's fumble set up Washington's first touchdown in the loss that ended Seattle's 12-game winning streak. His coach says the team still trusts him.

After Jadarian Price lost a fumble against Arizona in Week 2, the Seahawks gave him the ball on the very next play. After he lost another one against Washington on Sunday, he didn't carry it again until the third quarter.
That doesn't mean Seattle is giving up on him, Mike Macdonald said Monday. "He needs to take care of the ball," the coach said. "We're going to continue to give him the ball. We trust him."
Price's first-quarter fumble gave the Commanders a short field and set up their first touchdown. It was one of three Seattle turnovers in a 33-31 loss that ended the team's franchise-record 12-game winning streak. The rookie finished with five carries for 15 yards and played just 19 of 67 snaps, fewer than Emanuel Wilson and George Holani.
Fumbles weren't a problem here before. Kenneth Walker III, whom Price was drafted to replace, fumbled three times in four seasons and didn't lose any of them. Zach Charbonnet didn't fumble at all in his first three years. Price fumbled five times in three seasons as a backup at Notre Dame.
The No. 32 pick has 119 yards on 28 carries so far, a 4.3 average, and hasn't scored yet. "You just tell him, 'Keep going, and we've got your back,'" quarterback Sam Darnold said.
Charbonnet could be back soon. He's on the PUP list after ACL surgery in February and has to miss at least one more game, but Seattle said it would decide by Tuesday whether to let him start practicing.
Seattle hosts the winless Chargers on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS. Price will get his chance there.
