Aaron Jones Is Cleared, but Kyler Murray's Return Could Mean Fewer Carries
Jones practiced fully Friday. With Murray back at quarterback, the Vikings may not lean on the run as much.

Aaron Jones Sr. finished last week's win over Chicago in a knee brace after 23 carries. He skipped practice Wednesday, practiced fully Friday, and was cleared to start Sunday at Tampa Bay. He said he never doubted it: he'd finished the game, so in his head he was fine.
How much he runs is another question. With Carson Wentz at quarterback for most of the first two games, Minnesota had the NFL's second-highest designed run rate at 50%. Kyler Murray is back, and the Vikings are expected to throw more.
Jones, 31, said he doesn't know what his workload will be but that he likes games built around the run and will be ready if it goes that way. DeeJay Dallas and rookie Demond Claiborne are behind him, with Jordan Mason on injured reserve for at least two more weeks with a broken thumb.
