The Night Messi Scored His 100th Miami Goal, He Ended Up Pointing at Don Garber

Lionel Messi scored his 100th goal for Inter Miami on Wednesday and helped beat Cruz Azul 2-0 for the Campeones Cup. What people kept replaying afterward, though, was the video of him and MLS commissioner Don Garber.

In one clip, Messi points at Garber several times while talking to him, walks off, then comes back and does it again. In another, both men are pointing at each other. MLS declined to comment, and Inter Miami didn't respond right away.

Whatever it was about, it came on a night that added to Miami's trophy case. Since Messi arrived in 2023, the club has won the Leagues Cup that year, the Supporters' Shield in 2024, MLS Cup in 2025 and now the Campeones Cup.
