Tarik Skubal Needed Just 1 Hour, 53 Minutes to Beat the Giants
Ten strikeouts, no walks and the fastest Giants-Dodgers game since 1958.

If you blinked, you missed it. Friday's Dodgers-Giants game took an hour and 53 minutes, the second-shortest game in the history of the Giants' ballpark and the quickest meeting of the two teams since a 1:50 game in 1958.
Tarik Skubal was the reason. The left-hander struck out 10 over seven innings, walked nobody and gave up three hits, including a stretch of four straight strikeouts. Teoscar Hernández and Andy Pages homered in the second inning, and that was all the scoring: Dodgers 2, Giants 0.
Los Angeles got Skubal from Detroit on Aug. 2, and it has won every one of his last seven starts. He is the two-time reigning AL Cy Young winner, and this was his fourth game with 10 or more strikeouts this year, his second since the trade. Roki Sasaki followed with a perfect eighth and Tanner Scott got his 24th save.
Shohei Ohtani had a quiet night in his third game back from the biceps injury, 0 for 4 with three strikeouts. The Dodgers have won six in a row against San Francisco and the season series for the fifth straight year. Blake Snell pitches against his old team on Saturday.
